Microloan Committee


The Town of Bridgton is seeking applications for interested citizens to serve on a newly created committee titled Bridgton Microloan Committee (BMC.) This creation and subsequent appointment is pursuant to the Select Board Committee Policy Sections II.A.3 and III, respectively. Bridgton Microloan Committee The BMC is responsible for securing all necessary documentation and performing the required financial reviews and analyses, executing the loans and monitoring the business for job creation or job retention; and, adopting guidelines and approving amendments to the guidelines.

The Committee shall meet upon receipt of a loan application, shall provide a press release of all loans upon successful completion, and shall file an annual report to the Select Board of their loan activities. The Committee shall be comprised of: Select Board member; Business person; Member of Bridgton Economic Development Corporation; Certified Public Accountant, Banker, Attorney or Development; Bridgton Resident;

Member of the Community Development Committee; and Town Manager or his designee. Main Street

The town is working on a Design Development Phase for the streetscape of Main Street.  This means sidewalks, lighting, pedestrian circulation and other amenities.  This phase of the project is public process so we do need your input!  If you were not able to attend the Place Audit on March 19th, the form is below so you can get your comments in to us. Please fill it out and bring it back to us by April 8th.  The video of that event is here  ( There is a separate website just for this project and it is here (
